I had been dealing with really painful cycles for quite some time, and every doctor I saw wanted to put me on some form of birth control — which wasn’t something I wanted to do. I came to Vera because I knew something deeper was going on with my health and wasn’t getting real answers elsewhere. I was being spot-treated here and there, but I wanted a practice that would take a holistic approach and get to the root cause of what I was experiencing.
I first came to Dr. Pederson for some unexplained hormone issues, and she genuinely listened to me from the very start. She made the whole appointment feel so much less scary and all of the issues I was facing seem so much less daunting. She was really willing to find the root of a problem that was affecting every aspect of my life — she didn’t want me to give up on myself, and she didn’t want to give up on me. That meant everything.
